Department Q: A Conspiracy Of Faith

By Angela McCluskey @angelamccluskey

Department Q on BBC I player kinda knocked it out the ball park tonight. Episode three A Conspiracy Of Faith had one of the most evil villains ever to walk on dry land without a tail. Eek was this dude bad to the bone or what?

I started watching this Danish drama half heartedly and by the end I was so full of adrenaline I could have ran a marathon. It has everything you want to cheer up a dreary Tuesday night  in NYC (yes I watch from afar).

Little Boy Blue

By Andy Simon @AndySimon55

I can remember when and where I was when 11 year old Rhys Jones from Liverpool was murdered. I was fishing with my brother, and as the news came over on the radio, my brother and I were an hour into enjoying a peaceful few hours fishing.

We both sat in silence, and listened.

Soon after hearing that news, we packed up and went home. We simply couldn't fish anymore after hearing about that poor lad.

On the journey home, we spoke about the times when we were boys, growing up on the streets where we lived.

The spotted dick solution ... Callum Woodhouse as Leslie and Keeley Hawes as Louisa in The Durrells.

By Andy Simon @AndySimon55

Sunday night light-hearted drama has thankfully returned again in the shape of The Durrells. The very watchable show concerning the lives, trials, tribulations and antics of this fascinating dysfunctional family and the other animals set in the beautiful Greek island of Corfu, has returned for a second series.

And personally? I'm very glad they're back.

Jason Manford with Theresa May and Donald Trump

ITV seem to be having a bit of a creative spree at the moment, what with new gameshow Babushka, soon to replace flagship teatime show The Chase for six weeks while the cast and crew of that successful show, take a well earned break.

More about Babushka later.

Then of course there was The Nightly Show. Admittedly; it's not a game show but it was without doubt, disastrous. And it is with trepidation that I'm rather reluctant to watch ITV's new Sunday evening prime-time creation, "Big Heads."

Why?

Patrick Stewart hosts Have I Got News For You

By Andy Simon @AndySimon55

Ah satire. Where would we be without it?

How much that show has improved since Angus Deyton left. Angus who you say? Never mind; forget him.

If you are like me, a bit of a news geek, who likes to keep up with all things news and current affairs, then this show ticks the boxes.

Hospital People

By TV Punch

Right let's give this a go half hour I won't get back. It was like The Office in drag. The odd gag about slipping into things the only thing thing i was slipping into was a BBC induced coma of flog a dead horse.

One of the highlights was the DJ on hospital radio was the spitting image of Steven from Brighton off Gogglebox with with a baseball cap on - priceless. As I said, apart from the odd Carry On style joke's that went down like lead brick.

I for one won't be tuning in again
