SATURDAY
Britain’s Got Talent (ITV, 7.30pm) Here it is. The grand finale we’ve all not particularly been waiting for. A mass of singers, dancers and kids compete to win the £250,000 first prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show. What did you think of the series? Do you rate the judges? After ten years is Simon Cowell’s juggernaut past its sell-by date?
Michael McIntyre’s Big Show (BBC1, 7pm) Last instalment of a hit series that has been a ratings success story. This week’s unexpected star is singing plasterer Aaron while Alex Jones gets the celebrity send to all mobile phone treatment. And who responds favourably to her flirtatious text? Who else but Paul Hollywood? Did you like Mike’s big show? Or does McIntyre get on your nerves?
SUNDAY
Top Gear (BBC2, 8pm) After a firestorm of bad publicity Chris Evans, Matt Le Blanc and no fewer than five other presenters hit the road for the new-look car show everyone’s talking about. An improved programme? Or a pale imitation of Jeremy Clarkson’s long running version? You decide.
Wallander (BBC1, 9pm) Back in his native Sweden after last week’s random trip to South Africa, troubled detective Kurt Wallander begins to suffer from the early signs of dementia. Episode one was a lethargic affair that even devoted fans didn’t love. Will the second instalment pick up the pace?
The British Soap Awards (ITV, 8pm) Your chance to find out which was the least bad soap of the year. By the time it’s on telly, we’ll already know. Hosted by the ubiquitous Phil Schofield, the real-time event unfolded at London’s Hackney a day earlier. Is this the world’s least prestigious awards ceremony?

The Musketeers at 21:30 on a Saturday?
Bit of a odd day to put on another drama, Plus I think BGT final will kill it. May actually look good but wrong night.
As ever I will just watch BGT tonight while slagging it off on Twitter.

Swashbuckling fun for a younger viewer. If you enjoyed the previous series you will enjoy this as its pretty much the same formula just with a new baddy (although I have a suspicion that the goodies will prevail in the end .. spoiler).
