The Jump. Hardcore Harding quits as the celebrity bloodbath continues
Channel 4’s ludicrously dangerous The Jump… where sliding celebrities go to get seriously hurt. The bloodbath continued as Girl Aloud Sarah Harding became the latest C-lister to call it quits. “Hardcore Harding” was forced to pull out after rupturing a ligament.
In a sickening series that borders on sadism, the injury toll just keeps on growing. Count ‘em. Beth Tweddle… broken back. Rebecca Adlington… dislocated shoulder. Tina Hobley… dislocated elbow, arm fractured in two places, Mark Francis… busted ankle. Linford Christie… damaged hamstring. Ben Cohen… two teeth smashed out, 20 stitches in his face.
Ironically, despite the carnage, this Alpine sports unspectacular is about as exciting as a snail race. That’s why the ratings are hurtling downhill faster than you could yodel deep frozen flop.
Oh well… shouting at the top of her considerable voice next to an awful Austrian oompah band, hectic host Davina McCall seems to be enjoying herself. The handful of remaining viewers… not so much.
