Coronation Street (ITV, 7.30 & 8.30pm) After desperate Daniel is found unconscious it seems that dangerous drugs may have played their part. Meanwhile, Poundland diva Eva prepares to pop the question to two timing rat Aidan. Good luck with that.

EastEnders (BBC1, 8pm) Shock news at the Queen Vic as new corporate boss Fi decrees that the world’s worst pub should hire younger staff to attract a trendier crowd. It transpires that hatchet-faced harridan Shirley snarling at the customers isn’t good for business. Who knew?

Fearless (ITV, 9pm) Another one of those right-on legal dramas about a self-righteous human rights lawyer bravely uncovering just how awful not-so-Great Britain really is. Irritatingly eccentric Emma Banville (Helen McCrory) investigates the dubious case of a man jailed 14 years ago for the murder of a schoolgirl. Was he framed by the evil security services? Take a wild guess.
