Galapagos (BBC1, 9pm) New series exploring the Galapagos Islands’ extraordinary wildlife cauldron as Liz Bonnin joins a research team on an expedition to the most remote parts of the archipelago in search of the pink iguana and giant tortoise.

Prime Suspect 1973 (ITV, 9pm) As the investigation switches to close surveillance of the dodgy Bentleys new details emerge about the heist. And the impossibly glamorous Jane Tennison is forced to choose between her career and her family.

Rich House, Poor House (Channel 5, 9pm) The hard-up Williams family swaps homes with the well-off Caddy clan to get a taste of how the other half lives. While the Williams adjust to the luxury of three washing machines and piano lessons, the Caddys run out of electricity. On the plus side, they get the chance to enjoy panoramic views of the sofa in the front garden.
