Line Of Duty

SATURDAY

Britain’s Got Talent (ITV, 8pm) More of the successful same as Cowell and the gang preside over another night of end of the pier nonsense. Series 11, episode three… and this venerable search for a nobody is still packing ‘em in. Are you loving it?

All Round To Mrs Brown’s (BBC1, 9.20pm) Millions heave a sigh of relief as the pretend old girl’s weird chat show reaches the end of its first series. Others presumably can’t wait for more hilarity as Agnes introduces guests Michael Ball, Sunetra Sarker and ghost-hunter Yvette Fielding. No word yet on a second series. Do you want one?

SUNDAY

Big Heads (ITV, 7pm) Contestants wearing huge celebrity-lookalike heads tackle fun-packed obstacle courses while host Jason Manford tries to make sense of it all. Tonight’s big name line-up includes Ede Sheeran, David Beckham, Taylor Swift and royal favourites Prince Charles and Queen Victoria. Not exactly the most intellectually challenging show you’ve ever seen but, hey, it’s ITV… what do you expect?

The Durrells (ITV, 8pm) Episode two of the smash hit drama sees young Larry in despair because no one is interested in his new novel. So his worried mother Louisa organises a book reading. Star of the show Keely Hawes at her comic best, cracking Corfu scenery, cute creatures… what’s not to like?

Line Of Duty (BBC1, 9pm) This is it! The blockbuster conclusion to a gripping series which may or may not reveal why none of DCI Roz Huntley’s police colleagues noticed she’d had her hand amputated. In tonight’s finale, Roz’s husband Nick faces intense questioning over his role in forensic officer Tim Ifield’s murder. And we find out whether AC-12 boss Ted Hastings manages to wriggle out of Roz’s accusations of sexism and Masonic cronyism. Watch this space.
