SATURDAY
Let It Shine (BBC1, 6.40pm) TV’s worst-ever talent search staggers on as the remaining wannabes are put into groups ready to perform with a big name. Lulu joins the judges as head honcho Gary Barlow continues his horrible hunt for five losers to star in Gary Barlow’s stage musical about a pretend boy band.
The Voice UK (ITV, 8pm) A rare chance to catch reclusive Emma Willis on the telly as she hosts this mind-numbing contest and the judges jostle to bag the best singers for their teams. Sadly, no one cares.
Taboo (BBC1, 9.15pm) As the dark and sinister drama continues apace dynamic duo Tom Hardy and Jonathan Pryce steal the show. In tonight’s instalment the mean and mysterious James Delaney is blackmailed into a dangerous mission.
SUNDAY
Apple Tree Yard (BBC1, 9pm) The steamy sexploits are over but the intrigue certainly isn’t. The plot thickens as Yvonne is arrested for the murder of the monster who raped her. But is she the killer?
The Good Karma Hospital (ITV, 9pm) New six-part drama about disillusioned doctor Ruby Walker who quits her hellish NHS job to take on a challenging role at a chaotic public hospital in stunning southern India. Starring Amrita Acharia, Amanda Redman and Neil Morrissey.
Homeland (Channel 4, 9pm) Week three of the fourth series as Saul heads for Abu Dhabi and Carrie is forced to deliver bad news. Is this drama still working? Or is it past its sell-by date?
