Celebrity First Dates (Channel 4, 9pm) Superstars go looking for love in TV’s lonely hearts restaurant of true romance. The latest legends to take the plunge include Bernie Clifton, Brad Simpson, Keegan Hirst and Natasha Hamilton. I do believe I’ve vaguely heard of the last one.

Friday Night Dinner (Channel 4, 10pm) Cosy middle class family. Nosy neighbour. Suburbia. Returning for a fourth series, this deeply traditional sitcom ticks all the familiar boxes. But it’s well written and the brilliant cast make it funny. Perhaps you don’t agree.

Big Brother (Channel 5, 9pm) Host Emma Willis presides over the very last eviction as this series enters the final furlong. The “winner” will be crowned next Tuesday. I simply can wait. And don’t forget folks… Celebrity Big Brother starts next Thursday. So at least we’re getting a two day break.
