What to watch and review on Monday. Tonight’s TV tips
What to watch on Monday, August 8.
Olympics 2016 (BBC1, 1.45pm, 7pm, 8.30pm, 10.45pm, Midnight. BBC2, 1pm, 6pm, 8pm, 10pm) What do you make of the Beeb’s flimsy coverage so far?
Coronation Street (ITV, 7.30 and 8.30pm) Nick hatches a plan to set up a new business next door to the Bistro. And when Bistro boss Robert gets nicked for drunk driving he accuses Nick of tipping off the cops. Meanwhile, former prostitute Leanna is still pregnant.
Brief Encounters (ITV, 9pm) Series end for the too-good-for-the-summer Ann Summers drama as ace lingerie saleswoman Steph gets eyed up for a top job as her hectic private life unravels. Will she end up with nice guy copper Johnny? Please say she does! Tune in and find out.
Eden (Channel 4, 9pm) Okay, I admit it. This pretentious reality TV claptrap is my favourite comedy. Will the intrepid campers create a bold new society in the wilds of Scotland? Of course they won’t. But it’s hilarious to watch them cop off with each other and argue. Last of the Spring episodes as the hapless idiots prepare for the cold winter ahead.
Naked Attraction (Channel 4, 10pm) More tawdry tosh as desperate host Anna Richardson encourages two lonely hearts to choose their perfect partner purely on the basis of their stark naked bodies. TV’s worst-ever dating show. It’s not even funny.
