Cold Feet (ITV, 9pm) Back after a mere 17 years, the classic comedy drama returns. Older but not necessarily wiser, Adam is getting married again. How will his chums Jenny, Pete, Karen and David react? Stars Jimmy Nesbitt, Fay Ripley, John Thompson, Hermione Norris and Robert Bathurst. Does it still have the charm that turned it into the smash hit of the 90s?

We The Jury (BBC2, 10pm) An allegedly hilarious bunch of disparate characters are thrown together when they’re called up for jury service. Written by stand-up comic James Acaster, this is a one-off pilot. Is it funny? Is it worth a series?

I am probably one of the few who never bothered to watch cold feet the first time around! this was due to my first impressions that it was a UK rip off of friends from the US.
I did however fall for the hype about the return of this gloriously funny yet serious drama about the lives of the famous five.
Sadly I was not struck with anything good during this shambling dirge of late 40 somethings coming to terms with getting old.
I am assuming that many references about relationships and sly looks between the cast are references to the old series sadly as I say I never watched it so for me cold feet leaves me cold as ice.
I have no desire to follow the ramblings of any of these characters as none stand out as being important enough for me to be concerned where they go in their lives.

For once the beeb got things 100% right with their comedy greats series. I know not everyone was as taken as I with this time travelling latharios life but being a science fiction geek it enthralled me when it was first on and has been a miss.
Thankfully this latest outing dotted the Is and crossed the Ts in the correct manner with humour and pathos in equal measure.
A rare treat of comedy magic for me.
