What to watch and review on Tuesday, November 22.
EastEnders (BBC1, 7.30pm) More tawdry tales of The Mitchells as they rally round Phil when he gets an update on his ravaged liver. Sharon does her best to make Phil reconsider his decision, although Billy is the one to give his cousin food for thought. So many dreary plots, especially when you compare it to the Phelan saga in Corrie.
MasterChef: The Professionals (BBC2, 8pm) The skills test is a bit of a shocker as the supposed professionals present their signature dishes to Gregg Wallace, Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti. Comments such as: “There aren’t really any good points I can see with this dish at all,” and: “It’s a bowl of stodge and not a very pleasant one either,” don’t bode well.
Ben Fogle: New Lives In The Wild (Channel 5, 9pm) Our intrepid explorer travels to the wild valley of Casita Verde on the party island of Ibiza to discover why Chris Dews, a former radio officer in the British Merchant Navy, set up an eco-friendly commune. We love it!
Ordinary Lies (BBC1, 9pm) The last in the series sees boss Jenna (Angela Griffin) keeping secrets from her colleagues. While dealing with problems with work contracts, she’s also struggling to have a baby through IVF. So she’s in dire need of a big night out. Look out for Broadchurch’s Matthew Gravelle who plays a drugs dealer.
