What to watch and review on Monday, June 29.
The Living And The Dead (BBC1, 9pm) New series featuring Victorian ghost stories in the Somerset countryside. Psychologist Nathan Appleby (Colin Morgan) returns to the family farm where he encounters all manner of spooky goings-on. In the first episode, a local girl appears to be possessed by evil spirits. Can Nathan save her soul?
Big Brother (Channel 5, 9pm) After the merciful departures of that awful little man Marco and that even more awful woman Natalie, TV’s house of horror continues its fractious march through the long, not very hot summer. With disappointing viewing figures hovering just above the million mark, will this be the last civilian series? Is it time to just stick to the far more successful celebrity version?
Danniella Westbrook In Therapy (Channel 5, 10pm) Gripping but uncomfortable viewing as the former EastEnders star subjects herself to psychotherapy and falls apart at the seams. See the reformed cocaine addict’s foul-mouthed meltdown as she refuses to accept her lateness was her fault. Even though it was.
