Love Island (ITV2, 9pm) So they base a whole raunchy reality show on irritating twonks getting together and shagging on telly… and when they do the deed, loads of people complain. Eh? But this tawdry tosh does what it says on the tin. Which is probably why record audiences are tuning in to savour the unsavoury fun. And Aunty Caroline Flack’s the host. Yay. Our cups runneth under…

Top Gear (BBC2, 8pm) The penultimate episode of a series that hasn’t been a triumph for shouty Chris Evans and that has repositioned this show as a plodding car programme with modest viewing figures. If it still brings in £50million in worldwide sales, no one at the BBC will give a damn that it’s no longer particularly popular in Britain. What we in the UK failed to understand was that our parochial reaction was never that important.
Glastonbury (BBC2, 6.30 and 9pm) More from the mud-bath as the fans endure not only the waist-deep swamp… but also Coldplay. On a scale of one to ten just how irritatingly banal are the arse-licking Radio One DJs who present this annual rain-lashed bunfight? I’d give them at least 120.
