The Last Leg

By Tarcus

The usual comedic antics of Adam Hills and friends was suspended for the first 20 minutes to pay tribute and discuss the death of Jo Cox and the Orlando massacre.

Unlike most reactionary news prog's they had time to reflect on the stupidity of murder with Adam giving one of the best statements I have heard about these tragic circumstances.

They then went on to their usual comedy destruction of the weeks events in general leaving aside the referendum question in honour of the dead politician.

Daisy and Dom

By Nigel Smith

This is a very inspirational programme from Channel 4. These dogs have had a horrid time, abandoned, unloved, thrown out on the streets and rehomed waiting for somebody to take a chance.

Luckily for these little poochies help is at hand. They are being homed with people who really need them. In last weeks episode a beautiful Labrador was homed with a man with Tourette's who had developed phobias and at one stage was hospiltalised. The other dog a Staffy was homed with a young lady who had narcolepsy. This poor girl had become a bit of a reclusive.

Sir Clement Freud

Another much loved knight of the realm is accused of being a paedophile who deceived the nation.

After Sir Jimmy Savile, the latest late celebrity alleged to have serially sexually assaulted children is TV and radio star turned Liberal MP Sir Clement Freud.

In ITV’s investigative documentary Exposure two victims tell of how he forced himself upon them while they were just kids. Now in her seventies, Sylvia Woolsey says the man who was regarded as a national treasure first seduced her when she was 10.

Rovers

Set in a football supporters club, there are many well known faces here, and it treads a familiar beer sodden square of carpet, to BBC One's The Royle Family. Written by David Earl and Joe Wilkinson, this is loaded with great comedy actors, but is it in the Premiere league, or The Evo-Stik League Northern Premier of sitcoms?

Educating Joey Essex

Cue Phil Schofield’s excruciating ironic narration and bring on the clever star of the show’s theatrical thickness. Yes, it’s another same-again instalment of Educating Joey Essex.

This one’s about the “reem Queen at 90”. An hour of riveting TV in which Joey – who’s so dim he’s a multi-millionaire – prepares to meet Her Majesty. And then doesn’t.

Top Gear

Racing through the streets of London at breakneck speed Matt LeBlanc boomed: “I’d really like to see Bucking-Ham Palace and Tower Bridge. And the Houses of Parliament… do you know where that is?” Yeah, near the Cenotaph.

As Matt joined rally driver Ken Block for a turbo charged sightseeing trip, there was no sign of their notorious tyre screeching doughnut around Britain’s scared war memorial. That much criticised stunt had been left on the cutting room floor. Good idea.
