What to review tonight: Tina & Bobby, Corrie and Not Going Out
What to watch and review on Friday, January 13.
Coronation Street (ITV, 7.30 and 8.30pm) In the aftermath of her stillborn baby ordeal, Michelle grieves for her loss and furiously lashes out. Bereaved father Steve is mourning too. But at least he’s got another kid coming after he knocked up former prostitute Leanne.
Tina & Bobby (ITV, 9pm) Start of a three part drama about the troubled life of late, great footballer Bobby Moore. Starring Michelle Keegan as the soccer legend’s feisty first wife and Lorne MacFadyen as the man himself. Tonight’s opening salvo is full of swinging sixties optimism as the happy couple marry and Bobby is appointed England captain. But all is not well.
Not Going Out (BBC1, 9pm) As series eight (count ‘em!) limps into action, Lee and Lucy have moved to the suburbs and churned out a couple of kids. In other words, this clapped-out sitcom has turned into My Family. As if to prove it, tonight’s painful instalment is all about forgetting their wedding anniversary. How original.

Not going out
I'm a huge fan of Lee Mach and enjoyed the new episode of NGO to a point. There were some good jokes in it but sadly I think it has lost its edge now they are married, also dare I say ...it's slightly wet.
