What to watch and review this weekend
What to review on December 17 and 18.
SATURDAY
Strictly Come Dancing (BBC1, 6.40pm) Tonight’s the night! The grand series finale as they crown this year’s winner of Glitterball T'rophy. Who will waltz to victory? Louise Redknapp, Ore Oduba or Danny Mac? And lest we forget, it’s head judge Uncle Len Goodman’s last ever show. Pass the Kleenex.
SUNDAY
BBC Sports Personality Of The Year (BBC1, 6.40pm) Live from the Genting Arena in Birmingham, Gary Lineker, Clare Balding and Gabby Logan host sport's most prestigious awards ceremony. Tennis ace Andy Murray is the hot favourite. But can any of the 13 contenders from the Rio Olympics and Paralympics pip him to the post?
The Apprentice (BBC1, 9pm) The last two losers battle it out for “Lord” Sugar’s modest £250,000 investment. “You’re hired!” he’ll tell the winner, even though they’re not hired. This underperforming series pulled in the worst ever ratings amid a deluge of complaints that the moronic candidates were only chosen for their comic stupidity. Perish the thought!
