Bullies have been making Bethany Platt's life a misery by attacking her in the school corridor and in the playground.
This week on the set of Corrie, Bethany (Lucy Fallon), was filmed being roughed up by the screaming girls outside the gates.
But her night in shining armour watches the drama unfold. Mechanic Luke Button, played by Dean Fagan, comes to her rescue and whisks her away in his open-top Mercedes. What a hero.

He could be a hero. Considering she's a school girl, he could also be a dirty old man. Vulnerable kids getting into adults' cars. Apparently she hasn't been keeping up with the news surrounding broadcasting stars and politicians of yesteryear. Maybe Coronation Street writers haven't either. With a soapland mum as a role model, Bethany's chances of common sense are low.
