By Henrietta Knight

This is the first shot of the BBC’s remake of Are You Being Served? with a glimpse of the new cast.

Brush up your pussy jokes for the new Mrs Slocombe played by Benidorm’s Sherrie Hewson in her trademark purple beehive wig.

Only Fools And Horses’ John Challis (Boycie!) revives the role of Captain Peacock, Gavin & Stacey’s Matthew Horne is Mr Grace, Hollyoaks actress Jorgie Porter is Miss Croft, Jason Watkins is Mr Humphries and Corrie’s Roy Barraclough is Mr Grainger.

Wild France with Ray Mears

By Walter White

Provence, that idyllic corner of south east France, is abundant with wildlife. From the ibex and prong-horned chamois scaling the rugged foothills of the Alps to dolphins sporting in the Med and eagle owls swooping through the canyons, the lavender-infused area is a naturalist’s dream.

So when Ray Mears took his cameras into the heart of Provence for his series Wild France (ITV), we should have expected a glorious tapestry of exotic animal and bird life.

First Dates: Jethro and Felicity

EastEnders (BBC1, 7.30pm) Just getting a look in between all the endless Olympics coverage, Albert Square’s Cockney rabble continue their depressing odyssey through Walford’s vale of tears. It’s the clash of the bone-dome titans as the brothers grim Phil and Grant Mitchell go bald head to bald head while delivering their hilariously unconvincing tough guy impressions.

Sunday Brunch

By Mel Hayes @melanietowers

I've watched Sunday Brunch for ages and seen it grow in popularity and quite literally in length. The hosts Simon Rimmer (chef) and Tim Lovejoy, (presenter Soccer AM) are fantastically matched. They're not the greatest presenters or interviewers, but their awkwardness and comic banter make it compulsive viewing.

Body freaks: Old face, new face or simply dysmorphic?

Channel Five's reality documentary "Body Freaks" is for me, a rare glimpse into what was originally perceived as an incredibly shallow world. I was wrong about that . . . almost.

To some living among us, the obsession with body image has now reached epidemic proportions. And until I watched this show, I didn't understand why.

Here's the thing; I was born with a hairlip and cleft palate.

Ideal World

By Llwynog45

I work from home, if you call it work. During the day I only watch one of two things, The BBC News Channel or occasionally Ideal World. Don't ask me why but I do.

Shopping channels entertain me. When I'm bored with the latest terrorist attack or political rumblings I like to watch deep fat fryers, paper shredders and other stuff I've never bought.

999 What's Your Emergency?

By Andy Simon @AndySimon55

If you like a hard hitting reality fix then look no further than Channel 4's latest offering, "999: What's Your Emergency?"

I thought "24 Hours in A&E" was hard hitting enough to gain a person's attention however; after watching series three of "999: What's Your Emergency?", you still get that reality fix but in a very different way.

Having missed the previous two series for reasons that escape me, I am however very glad I found out about series three before it started.

Borderline

By Henrietta Knight

My Saturday afternoon secret is watching those mean-minded fly on the wall programmes where tourists are arrested at customs for carrying drugs or weird illegal foodstuffs hidden in their suitcases.

The staple shows are Border Security UK and New Zealand’s Border Patrol in which uniformed jobsworths pull travellers to one side and rummage through their belongings. The ultimate documentary series has to be Banged Up Abroad where the criminals get caught with narcotics and sent to prison where they tell their story on camera.
