It's back again. The show that caters for the Famished Armchair Foodie is back on our screens only this time, it's gone professional.

And after Wednesday nights episode, I use the term "professional', very loosely. What a bunch of nuggets they were.

Couldn't cook for toffee! None of them!

Now I am no cook by any stretch of the imagination.

EastEnders (BBC1, 7.30pm) Libby has returned to Albert Square and is not best pleased about her mum having Phil Mitchell’s baby. She decides to prepare a healthy, wholesome meal but Denise and Patrick are not impressed by her culinary skills. Kathy goes to audition for the Christmas show with hilarious results. Jay goes to desperate lengths to pay back the money he owes.

This Time Next Year (ITV, 8pm) Davina meets a couple who share their story of their desperate struggle to conceive and an amputee who is hoping to walk again. Will they both succeed in their mission? Find out in the time it takes host Davina McCall moves from one door to another, wearing the same dress as she did in 2015. It’s called continuity.  

Ordinary Lies (BBC1, 9pm) The fourth episode plunges us into the dark side of another employee’s personal life. This week it’s Wendy (Rebekah Staton) the forklift truck driver whose private life is exposed when her punchy ex-girlfriend turns up at her house and tries to kill her current partner.

So then; we're half way through Strictly Come Dancing and would you believe it, the impossible has happened . .

Ed Balls is STILL THERE!

Well here is one ex politician who is definitely "Singin In The Rain."

Against all the odds and even to Craig Revel Horwood's amazement, Ed is actually improving.

A phenomenon that even Lord Sugar could not believe.

I mention Lord Sugar because during my last conversation with him via Twitter, he once described Ed to me as a 'Beeched Whale prancing about on the Strictly dance floor."
